General

When will my campaign begin?

Once you've uploaded your information and submitted your payment, you can expect your campaign to begin within three (3) business days (usually less than that).

Who is running my campaign?

In short, real people. This is not an automated process. We use software to help you connect your accounts, book campaigns, and manage your billing, but actual people are creating your ads, building your campaigns, and paying attention to performance every day.

Setup

Who do you target with my ads?

We use a combination of targeting options you give us during the campaign scheduling process and our own experience with what we know works. By default, we target a combination of predominately Western countries with large English-speaking populations in N. America, Europe, and Oceania. We will sometimes include other global music markets when it makes sense to do so.

Where will my ads be shown?

We lean heavily on Instagram placements for most of our ad campaigns—Reels, Feed, and Stories. We also include Facebook Feed, Reels, and Stories placements in certain campaigns as well.

Do you run my ads in my ad account or yours?

We run your ads in our seasoned ad account. This gives you the benefit of using the data in our account, but it decreases transparency and prevents you from keeping our work should you decide not to renew your campaign. If you would like us to run your ads inside your ad account, you may apply to become a Pro-level client, which starts at $1,000 per month.

Budget

How much can I spend on my ads?

You can spend between $500 and $1,000 per month on your campaign, which equates to between $250 and $750 in ad spend, in addition to our $250 fee.

How much of my budget goes toward my ads?

Our fee, which covers the cost of building, monitoring, and optimizing your ad campaign throughout the month, is $250 per month and is included in your total campaign budget. The remainder of your budget goes toward your ads.

Can I increase my ad spend?

If you’d like to adjust your ad spend, simply contact us and we’ll be happy to take care of it.

Creative

Will you make my ads for me?

We will always create the videos for your ads on our end; however, if you have images or videos you would like for us to consider using, you may include a link to them during the campaign scheduling process and we will be happy to use them if we need them.

Can I give you some creative of my own to use?

If you would like to give us custom creative to consider using, please include a link to download those assets during the campaign scheduling process and we will be happy to give them a look. If you forget to include a link during the scheduling process, simply drop us a line with a link to download your assets using WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, or something similar.

Can I see my ads once they’re live?

Of course. Once your campaign is live, simply visit Facebook’s ads library and search for your Facebook business page or Instagram profile to see the ads we’re running for you.

Performance

How do I know if my campaign is doing well?

We use a combination of factors to determine a campaign's success, the majority of which is available inside Spotify for Artists. Depending on the objective, we look at things like the increase in an artist's followers, growth in playlist followers, or simply overall streams. We also use our own proprietary tool, the Artist X-Ray, to track popularity scores and artist-level performance.

What can I do to improve campaign performance?

Paid advertising is just one side of the music marketing triangle. The second side is posting organic content on a regular basis, and the third side is engagement. We generally see artists have a much higher success rate with advertising when they are consistently creating content and engaging with their audience.

I’m not seeing much improvement on Spotify. What’s happening?

Every ad campaign performs differently. The song, cover art, and targeting all play a vital role in the success of a campaign, and optimizing a new campaign can take time. If you’re not seeing the results you want to see yet, rest assured we’re working to improve those results on our end. We’re looking at the same data you are.

Communication

Do you send out regular reports on my campaign?

We don’t currently put together “official” campaign reports. The primary data we use to determine the efficacy of a campaign is inside Spotify for Artists and our own proprietary tool, the Artist X-Ray, both of which you have access to. If you would like to learn more about the performance of your campaign though, simply contact us and we will be happy to share more details with you.

Do you plan to add a more detailed reporting feature in the future?

Yes. One of our current priorities is to put together an automated system to share additional details about your campaign on a regular basis. In the meantime though, email works great.

Can we hop on a call?

We communicate exclusively via email. This helps us to keep an accurate paper trail of what we've discussed just in case we need to review previous requests to make adjustments to your campaigns.

Billing

What if I don’t want to subscribe to recurring billing?

Marketing works best when it's consistent, not stop-and-start. Our most successful artists have committed to including us on their team on a long-term basis. That said, if you only want to run a campaign for one month, you can simply manage your billing and adjust your subscription not to auto-renew at the end of your billing cycle.

Can I get a refund?

We cannot issue refunds once you've submitted payment for your campaign. A large percentage of the work we do takes place before your campaign even goes live.

How can I cancel my subscription?

All campaigns are billed on a monthly recurring basis. If you would like to opt out of recurring billing, simply manage your billing and set your campaign not to renew at the end of your billing cycle. If you do decide to take a break, your campaign will continue to run until your ad spend has been completely used. We will also remain connected to your accounts unless you decide to revoke our access. Because you are an existing artist, you will be able to hop right back into the Artist Hub and book a new campaign whenever you’d like.

Platform

What do I do if my account gets restricted?

Unfortunately, account restrictions do happen. We will never do anything to jeopardize your accounts, but sometimes Meta’s automated systems just get it wrong. If you do receive an account restriction notice, please let us know and we will help you navigate the process of removing it.

I got an ad rejection email? What does that mean?

An ad rejection email is nothing to worry about. Sometimes ads get flagged incorrectly and it is a simple process of requesting another review of the flagged material. We will always handle that on our end, so you don’t need to worry about it.

Can you give me access to my ads so I can see how they’re doing?

Because we are running ads for many artists at once, we cannot give you access to our ad account; however, you may always view your ads inside Facebook’s ads library or drop us an email to learn more about how things are performing.

Success! Thank you for uploading your files.Return.
